My desire to study abroad was sparked by a French class I took in high school. During the course, we performed plays in French, watched films, and learned about French holidays. Engaging with the language and the rich culture behind it inspired a strong wish to visit France and experience its atmosphere firsthand. Through this program, I aim not only to enhance my language proficiency by putting my knowledge into practice, but also to encounter cultures and values entirely different from my own, thereby cultivating the flexibility to embrace them. I look forward to broadening my horizons while genuinely enjoying the challenges of an unfamiliar environment.
I selected Sciences Po Lille because it offers an exceptional environment to study the EU from multifaceted perspectives. After entering university, my interest in international law led me to discover "EU law," a unique legal framework shared across European nations. The institution provides comprehensive courses that allow students to analyze the EU through various disciplines, including law and politics. During my time there, I intend to deepen my specialized knowledge through lectures and experience firsthand—with all my senses—how this system functions on the ground. Ultimately, my goal is to examine the EU from these diverse viewpoints and develop my own well-grounded perspective on the subject.
